La Guerra Civil Rusa y el ferrocarril: la estrategia del Ejército Rojo (1918)

Al igual que sucede con la Revolución Rusa de 1917, la historia de la Guerra Civil Rusa, una contienda acaecida entre 1918 y 1921, no se puede comprender sin la red de ferrocarriles del antiguo Imperio Ruso. Antony Beevor, en su monumental obra sobre estos dos acontecimientos, recoge esta cita:

With a good network of railways going from the centre to he periphery, our leaders were able to move troops from one fron to another. They used Napoleon's tactic of concentrating all the forces at a certain location, crashing down on the enemy's armies, and preventing them from joining up
